Building Relationships That Last
A live online journey sharing tools for building thriving relationships of any kind.
STARTING SUNDAY, OCT 12, 2025
Welcome!
“Building Relationships That Last” is a collaboration between Steve Torma, Nonviolent Communication Teacher & Relationship Coach and Natalee Facey, Emotional Healing Guide & Transformation Coach.
The course is an online journey teaching Compassionate Communication (or Nonviolent Communication) as the foundation for building thriving relationships of any kind, while incorporating song, poetry, storytelling, and nervous system regulation practices.

Some of The Gifts the Course Offers Include:
-
Accessing the blueprints for creating strong, loving, and lasting relationships of any kind: with romantic partners, family members, co-workers, friends, group/community members, and yourself.
-
Finally removing the mystery curtains around what leads to relationships that not only survive, but thrive, and having the tools to cultivate more joy and harmony again and again.
-
Processing and releasing feelings of hurt from past or present relationships, connections, groups, etc., and experiencing more understanding, forgiveness, and self-forgiveness.
-
Deepening your own love, care and compassion towards yourself.
-
Releasing fears of “failing” in your next romantic relationship by having tools and practices that address your current pain points.
-
Increasing your skills and level of confidence in having difficult conversations, including saying “No,” setting boundaries that reflect love towards yourself and others, advocating for yourself, and making requests.
-
BONUS: Enjoying and sharing poetry, music, storytelling, and other art forms to interpret and give expression to our experiences around love, loss, loving again, forgiveness, courage, and more.
Who This is For:
Everyone! The quality of our relationships is one of the biggest contributors to our well-being. Learning the tools to cultivate relationships with love, care, authenticity, and harmony as the foundation is an essential life-skill.

Highlights of What We'll Cover:
-
Understanding violence—whether physical, verbal, emotional, or in other forms—as forcing someone to do what they don’t want to do.
-
Understanding nonviolence as both a pathway to liberation, as well as to creating loving, meaningful, and lasting relationships.
-
Replacing the practices of domination and control that we’ve inherited to practices of conscious, co-creative partnership.
-
Learning to use the language of Feelings and Needs to connect with the essence of who we are and what's important to us.
-
Moving away from the familiar responses of “self-sacrifice,” blame or self-blame and towards co-creating strategies that tend to the needs of the whole–yours and others.
-
Learning relationship repair tools which provide the option of being able to come back to a place of understanding and grace after experiencing separation or disconnection.
-
Learning tools for balancing your nervous system before, during, and after difficult experiences, which gives you access to more empowering choices.

Testimonials

I am so grateful that I took this course. It's helped me build a solid shared foundation with my partner, nip potential problems in the bud, and provide an incredibly effective structure to help navigate inevitable tensions that arise in a relationship.
Steve's teachings have helped me be aware of my partner (and my own feelings and needs!) in a way that I wouldn't have otherwise, in a way that allows me to connect and react more skillfully. And while I entered into the course mostly thinking how it could be helpful for my romantic relationship, it's also infused the way I think about and interact with all other relationships.

My relationships have improved, my anxiety has decreased and I am more able to be of service. I have introduced hundreds of people to NVC through Steve and for many of them it has been life changing as well. Steve embodies the practice of Compassionate Communication and is a truly unique human being who I consider a role model and a guide in life.
Any person who is looking to improve their relationships with family, friends, colleagues and complete strangers would benefit from Steve's guidance.

Steve is an excellent coach. I started taking his [course] with my ex husband as we began to navigate a separation with 2 young children and a move to a different state. We knew we needed help communicating well with each other through all the hard and new transitions, especially for our children. If we hadn't taken Steve's course there is high chance that we would be on non-talking terms.
